In July 2015, Microsoft held its annual Digital Shopper Conference, where key retail partners are shown the latest and greatest retail technologies. Wi-5 was invited to tailor its invisible shop assistant solution for Microsoft’s Office 365 concession stands, in order to ensure consumers would self-select the most appropriate edition of 365 for their needs.
A graphical call to action prompted customers to logon to the #Office 365 Wi-Fi network and answer a few simple questions about their existing usage and future needs. Each question visibly narrowed the field of products, quickly leading to the selection of the version best suited to the individual customer and alerting a sales assistant to arrive and carry out the transaction.
Wi-5’s shop assistant was a great success, with the number of customers serviced increasing tenfold over previous engagements. Customer feedback supported the numbers, with unanimous praise for the system’s intuitive interface and overall ease of use, not to mention accurately delivering the right Office 365 product on each and every occasion.
